Common Psychiatric Disorders

Dr. Bibeault offers ongoing medication management of common psychiatric disorders such as:

  • Anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other stress-related anxiety.

  • Mood disorders, including major depression, bipolar disorder, complicated grief, peri-menopausal and premenstrual mood disorder, seasonal affective disorder and autoimmune-related depression.

  • Female sexual disorders

  • Insomnia

  • Emotional and/or cognitive symptoms in patients with autoimmune, neurologic and other medical conditions: cancer, lupus, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

The following services are not offered (these situations/conditions typically require highly specialized treatment and/or a structured setting):

  • Emergency psychiatric care

  • Inpatient (in-hospital) care or inpatient consultation

  • Evaluation or treatment of alcohol or drug abuse

  • Disability determinations

  • Court-ordered psychiatric treatment

  • Treatment of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia)

  • Treatment of chronic psychotic disorders

  • Treatment of borderline personality disorder or similar disorders involving chronic self-harm or recurrent suicidal urges

  • Treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder as the primary diagnosis
